Send a first message that is personal, respectful and easy to answer.
Make one thoughtful connection
Refer to something specific in the other person’s profile, such as a hobby or a relationship goal. Add one simple question and a short introduction. You might ask what they enjoy about an activity they have mentioned. Avoid sending a long list of questions or the same copied message to many people.
Avoid pressure and explicit demands
Do not begin by demanding intimate photographs, making graphic requests or assigning a role. A person who shares your interest still has their own boundaries. Leave room for a reply without repeatedly following up. No response does not give you permission to contact the person through other accounts or channels.
Look for a balanced exchange
A good early conversation gives both people space to share and ask questions. Notice whether the tone remains considerate when you disagree or say that you would prefer another topic. If the exchange feels one-sided or uncomfortable, take a break. You do not need to continue simply because you replied once.
